The Bushman’s Artisan Gallery has an atmosphere all of its own.
Established in the 1800’s, the Bushman’s Hotel was once a much loved pub in Blackall, hosting a rich history of stories and events from within its walls. As one of Blackall’s earliest buildings—built from locally crafted handmade bricks!— the Bushman’s Hotel operated until the early 1990’s, when it then sat dormant until it was refurbished as a Gallery in 2018.
The vacant building was transformed into a gallery space with a unique ambience. The main gallery showcases changing displays of local art works and artisan products for sale.
A digital story telling display celebrates Blackall and the stories entwined with its history, a lasting collection of Bushman stories and portraits for all to enjoy.
The Bushman’s Artisan Gallery is open from 10.00 am – 4.00 pm from March through to the end of October.
